Best Shabu Shabu in Orange County, CA

There are so many more shabu shabu restaurants in Orange County than there were just ten years ago.

Shabu shabu is a Japanese style hot pot—you take pieces of raw, thinly sliced meats and cook it in hot broth. The name comes from the sound of the activity when you swish meat around in the pot.

Shabu shabu is pretty standard at most places—you select your meat (usually beef but there are also chicken and fish options), broth (miso, sukiyaki, etc.), and rice (white or brown).

There are a few shabu shabu restaurants in Orange County that will leave you feeling especially satisfied:

Kaizen Shabu (Santa Ana, CA)
