1. Fullerton Arboretum (Fullerton, CA)

The Fullerton Arboretum makes the top of the list for being a totally free attraction with a lot of square acreage to roam!
2. Niguel Botanica Preserve (Laguna Niguel, CA)

The Niguel Botanical Preserve is free and has a nice pleasant walking trail with great views of Laguna Niguel.
3. Sherman Library & Gardens (Newport Beach, CA)

The Sherman Library & Gardens is a smaller garden but you can still spend an hour exploring the grounds and learning about the different plant species and history of the property.
There is a restaurant on the property called 608 Dahlia. We were able to grab a seat and try some dishes! Definitely worth a visit.
