Castaways Park, located in the city of Newport Beach, offers a serene and scenic escape for visitors. This hidden gem boasts stunning panoramic views of the Pacific Ocean, lush greenery, and winding trails perfect for leisurely walks or picnics with family and friends.

There’s a war memorial at the edge of the park with a Marine statue and flagpole.

In the weeks leading up to Memorial Day, Castaways Park is transformed into a Field of Honor. 1776 American flags are planted by the Exchange Club of Newport Harbor throughout the park. This makes for a nice leisurely stroll and a chance to reflect on the sacrifices made by folks in the armed services.

Castaways Park is home to several dozen California native plants. There is a sign at the entrance to the park with more detailed information.
