Newport Beach Civic Center Sculpture Park: What to Expect (2024)

Located in a patch of public space between Fashion Island shopping center and Macarthur Boulevard is the Newport Beach Civic Center Sculpture Park.

The sculpture exhibit was unveiled in 2014 and currently has 20 sculptures available for public viewing (100% free). Most sculptures are displayed on a rotating basis but some are permanent.

At the beginning of the exhibit, there is an extended floating bridge that gives you panoramic views of the Pacific coast.

Where is the Newport Beach Civic Center Sculpture Garden?

The sculpture garden is located at 100 Civic Center Drive in Newport Beach, CA.

According to officials, sculptures were chosen “for their appeal to a diverse audience of all ages, as well as their artistic merit, durability, practicality, and site responsiveness.”

At the end of the sculpture exhibit is the Newport Beach Public Library, an extraordinary example of modern design.

How much time should I budget for a visit to the Sculpture Park?

If you’re walking quickly, you can view all of the sculpture exhibits in under 20 minutes. A more leisurely stroll can easily take up an hour, especially if you are spending some time exploring the library.

Are dogs allowed at the Sculpture Park?

Yes, in fact there is a dog park with sections for small dogs and large dogs right next to the exhibit.
