Tell us about your journey to opening Strong Water!
With a combined 40+ years of bartending and hospitality experience, my husband Robert and I decided to leverage our creative talents to create Strong Water in 2019.
Since we both had a vast amount of experience in the hospitality industry, and a profound desire to create unique and enchanting experiences, we decided to channel our talents into the bar. We are pleased to say that it now attracts tiki enthusiasts from across the country to set sail on their own nautical sensory journey.
What are some unique features that set Strong Water apart from other tiki bars in the area?
When guests enter, they are immediately transported onto a sunken ship where they’ll embark on an immersive tiki experience complete with rum-based libations, tiki mugs and antique decor, and elevated Asian Fusion bites.
The hidden “tik-easy” is adorned with eclectic and tropical décor featuring easter eggs that pay homage to tiki culture, like the ”Zombie King Grotto” and nods to Don the Beachcomber, the “founding father of tiki.
In addition to our award-winning cocktails, we serve Asian Fusion culinary delights crafted by our Executive Chef, Steve Kling. Standout dishes include the Loco Moco Burger and Pappardelle.
What are some of your most popular drinks on the menu? Personal favorite?
Strong Water’s menu is filled with over 40 original, rum-based, stirred, and zero-proof craft cocktails including guest favorites such as the Birds of Paradise, Fogcutter, Pineapple Whipped Colada and the Humuhumunukunukuapua’a. Each of these cocktails showcases fresh ingredients like lemon, pineapple, strawberry, cucumber, and lime which combine to transport guests' tastebuds to paradise.
Our personal favorite lately is our Starward Swizzle cocktail as its velvety smooth and boozy!
What do you hope visitors will take away from a visit to Strong Water?
We hope visitors will remember the feeling they had as they entered our immersive experience, as well as the memories they made while sipping on our cocktails. Strong Water is a place to relax and enjoy yourself, so we want our guests to go home feeling like they were pampered on a real vacation.
